Situated in the heart of National Park 'De Maasduinen' you will find our rustic Auberge. In this former farmhouse you are immersed in the peace and dynamism of the Northern-Limburgian landscape. Hiking, bike riding, playing golf, these are just a few of the many activities on offer. Close to 'De Papenberg' you will find, for example, the ruïns of Bleijenbeek Castle, with the oldest parts dating back to the 13th century. Two sequoias take pride of place inside the castle walls.
'Auberge de Papenberg' is right on the German border, close to vibrant cities like Kleve and Goch, both well worth visiting. The Königsallee in Düsseldorf, 'Germany's most famous shopping street' is less than an hour's drive away. If you are interested in history a visit to pilgrimage town Kevelaer is also a great way to spend your time. Xanten, a former Roman town, and Nijmegen, Holland's oldest town, are also very appealing from a historic perspective.
